Thankfully, I had already planned a trip to the library with the boys. This week is an off week for story time (it starts up again next week) so, instead they had an special "Pet Parade". There were about 40-50 kids there in the 2-5 age range all with their special pets. Of course we brought Lion and Monkey along (I know they have such creative names...) for the songs, stories, and parade through the library. Sam was a big hit in the parade. He insisted upon bringing his "Ming Ming" backpack with him to the library (a rolling Wonder Pets backpack that we got him for his birthday) and instead of carrying lion for the parade he rolled the bag! He and another little girl who had a Clifford Dog on wheels held up the tail end of the parade. The library employees lines the parade route to cheer and clap for the kids and all their animals - it was super cute! My friend, Tina and Sam's friend, Layna (they are only 2 weeks a part) joined us at the library. Layna was proud to show me that she dressed herself today (pink babydoll top with gold poka dots and some leggins with dark pink roses and green leaves on them - she's such a little fashionista!) Sam and Layna kinda sat silently enjoying the entire "Pet Parade" story time while Ray laughed and clapped!
After the library we went to Wendy's for a lunch date with Layna and Tina. Ray slept almost the entire time, Tina and I had an adult conversation (hooray for those!) all while Sam and Layna yelled at the trucks and buses out the window in between bites of chicken. A good time was had by all!
Sorry no pictures of the fun...
Other Stuff:
Ray turned 9 months old over the weekend. It was almost impossible to get him to sit still for a picture! He is too busy cruising along the furniture and even stood up for a second with out holding on to anything (although he hasn't done it again). Time seems to be flying by with him much faster than it did with Sam! At his check up on Monday he weighed 19lbs 9 oz (30%) was 29.5" long (90%), and his head was 18 3/8" (90% - no surprise there! These boys have large noggins.) I am amazed at this picture and how you can barely see his scars above his lip. Every time we see his pediatrician she is so impressed by them. He is only wearing a diaper because he is the hardest baby to get dressed/diaper change EVER - he never stops moving!
At the doctor Sam actually said, "Hi" to Dr. Jacob, let her check his ears (which she says look "beautiful") with out me holding him, and gave her a high five when he was done. He even said, "May I have some stickers please?" (yes he really said all those words!) He's getting to be such a big boy.
I also went to the dentist on Monday....drum roll.... I have to have root canal and crown.... Did I mention how much I hate the dentist? Actually I really liked this guy though. New office, younger guy (he has a 6 month old baby), and they see kiddos. I go back March 2nd for two hours of "fun".
Last night I restarted couch 2 5K. I started back at week one since it had been a month since I was last out. It seemed very easy to me (we'll see how the second run feels though); I covered 1.8 miles which isn't too bad I guess. I also got to try out my new New Balance sports bra - it's great. I'll spare you all the details unless you want them - let me know. Only 3 months until the Komen Race here in Columbus so I absolutely have to stick with it now! If you want to run the Komen here in Columbus with Mike and I let us know. It is on May 16th.
Christopher and Jenica just found out they are pregnant to I get to be an Aunt again - hooray!
I want to go to a pet parade. I talked to mom, that so exciting about chris and jen.
