Thanks

In the midst of a crazy week I am trying to be thankful. Here is a list of random and some not so random things I am thankful for that happened this week:

1. Even though the circumstance for it sucked I did get to talk to my brother on the phone and "talk" on instant messenger several times too.

2. Mike says that I have perfected the recipe for White Chicken Chili. I made it last night and had enough to freeze for another meal too!

3. Today I ate a Blackberry Pomegranate Yoplait - new flavor for me. It was delicious.

4. Last Tuesday night Sam got some new kicks. You should read Mike's blog about it.

5. My kids have never spit there baby food back at me with each bite. Little Trace does this and I find it pretty annoying.

6. Wednesday I took Sam to the library for story time and even though he was pretty reserved through the whole thing I know he loved it.

7. After story time we stopped over to Gigi's house. I didn't even know it was her birthday so, I'm glad we stopped! She said we made her day. I happened to have my camera in the diaper bag, that's usually where I keep it, and I know the pictures will become priceless some day.

8. I got to look through a big box of pictures at my Dad's that I hadn't seen in a long time or ever for that matter. I plan to help him and Roberta organize them at some point. You know me and organizing...

9. I ran over Sam's lion with the stroller and it had tread marks all over it. I managed to get it in the washer last night!

10. Yesterday was warm enough that the boys were able to go outside for about 15 minutes.

11. Today I told Sam if he napped then I had a surprise for him. Then, I remembered we still had a Pez dispenser from his stocking that got shoved away in a drawer. This was a surprise for us both! Another surprise is that Sam keeps walking around with it saying, "Ray can't have these." You mean he actually listened to something I said?!

12. Bella keeps saying, "You're driving me nuts!" that makes me laugh. Apparently she overheard this in a conversation over the weekend. Bella and Trace are Mike's cousins kids that I babysit on Monday and Tuesdays. Bella is 2 Trace is 8 months.

13. My family is very loved.

14. Matthew started a blog and it makes me feel like there isn't an ocean between us.

15. Tonight Mike promised me a game of scrabble. We are in the middle of a best out of 50 tournament. So far it's: Mike 12 wins, Me 9 wins, and 2 ties (seriously who ties in scrabble?!). We have forgotten what the winner gets so, don't ask. We might be open to suggestions though.

16. Ray has only been getting up once at night for the entire past week - amazing!

17. Instead of not knowing what to read I literally have 10 books right now!

18. Mike is going to run a 10K this weekend in Dublin. I'm glad he has stuck with this.

19. I went through a Burpee seed catalog yesterday. I figured out what some of the mystery plants are in my yard and I know Spring is coming soon!

20. Even in a "bad" week I came up with 19 things pretty quickly!
