If you aren't reading "The Sunrise and Sunset: A Dreamers Tale by Danny Lambson" you must get started! There are only 3 installments of this blog so far that my Brother started for his friend, Danny, so, don't miss out. You'll be sorry if you don't start reading it now because someday it will be a best seller, I am certain!
I visited the library last night and here are my first three summer reads:
"I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou
"Crooked Little Heart" by Anne Lamott
"She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb
And a stack of sewing books...
I am still open for suggestions to add to my summer reading.
I have read all of those books and they are great! Have you read Anne Lamott before? I absolutely love her and I have a ton of her books if you want to borrow any of them!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! Wally Lamb is one of my favorites, especially "I Know This Much is True."
ReplyDeleteCarrie - I've only read Traveling Mercies and yes, she is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteBrooke - What are you reading? I am so behind on reading but I want to make a point to read more this summer!
anything Jodi Picoult-- I've just entered an obsession. Although 'Plain Truth', my current one, is my favorite. Have you seen previews for the movie, "my sisters Keeper"? She wrote that too, but I havent read it yet.
ReplyDeleteI just finished "The Shack" by William Young and tonight I'm starting "Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace... One School at a Time" by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. I'm excited to read it because I think it's about a guy who builds schools for girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteI love libraries!
