So, do a post of what's on your nightstand and put a link to it in my comments :) No cleaning up - just take the picture or write it all down! Who knows, there may be prizes involved...
I like this game...My nightstand is always a disaster...so much so that I have two night stands. I am a relatively tidy roommate, but my nightstand is the on exception. Here are my items:
ReplyDelete1. Journal you and mike gave me for my birthday
2. prayer beads
3. the Orchid Thief (book)
4. the impossible will take a little while (book)
5. Modernizing Women (book)
6. an arabic english dictionary (book)
7. Measuring Empowerment (book)
8. Gender in Cairo (book)
9. El Kitab I and II (books)
10. Printing paper
11. a small steno pad
12. a large steno pad
13. Lots of graded papers, all of which have an A on them :)
ps- I need an office and a desk
I have no nightstand. There just simply isnt room. Although I do have a dresser at the foot of our bed that holds a basket full of socks, and at night, my cell phone and glasses.
ReplyDeleteEmily - I am shocked that you don't have at least 5 books with in arms reach.
ReplyDeleteMatthew - I knew you would have a stack of books.
Too funny:o) I do not have a night stand as well, just a dresser and a white metal bin holding my books and journals. In the bin at the moment:
ReplyDelete1. Bible
2. Study Bible
3. Velvet Elvis
4. Regular journal
5. Prayer journal
6. Dead until Dark (first of the Sookie Sackhouse series)
7. Gardener's Encyclopedia
8. At least three cookbooks :)
Great post!! I'll have to do a night-stand blog soon and link to this...
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for both memoirs and food blogs, so I really liked "Julie & Julia" but I'm biased :) I reviewed it here: http://brookeweightlossblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/summer-reading.html
Have you seen the movie? I'd like to but I'm waiting for DVD...
you see Sarah, I spend much more time lounging on my cough than i do in my bed--thanks to in most part Omri sleeping in it. So my almost toppling over bookcase next to my couch, also houses my computer, is probably the closest thing to a nightstand.
ReplyDeleteI love this; it's a random thing but tells a good story!
