$2 = endless hours of fun: Preschool Ideas

Here's a few cheap/free ideas to break up the long winter days!

Sam (3 years) and Ray (21 months).

Free: Sam cut some lengths of ribbon from my craft closet to dance with. He got the idea from Ms. Margo at story time. Notice the blur of Ray's hands - he is a crazy awesome dancer!
$1: Pom Poms from the dollar store. I hot glued magnets on to them to play on the fridge, garage door or cookie sheets. Think magnet pages, counting, coloring sorting, patterns, forming letters/shapes/numbers, etc. (and burnt finger tips from the hot glue...).
$1: Poker chips from Target dollar section. Think counting, coloring sorting, patterns, forming letters/shapes/numbers, etc. Oh, and, winning big in Vegas! Here Sam is demonstrating counting by placing the correct number of chips on to the numbered circles.
I've decided to submit my ideas here. There are lots of other people doing the same so, check out their ideas too!

  1. Start 'em early on the poker! - more chance of him winning big and keeping his mama in the manner to which she is accustomed plus some....
