Last week we implemented a new organization system for Sam's preschool activities. I bought a sterlite container with 5 drawers from Target (about $15). Each night I fill the drawers with the activities for the next day. Sam also decided it would be a great idea to drag his desk out of his room and put it next to what he calls, "activity tower!" or, "Castle of activities!". This has really helped me stay organized and allow Sam to work independently for a few minutes so that I can get things (like eating a lunch) done. I do not make him do all the activities or do them in a certain order but he enjoys having lots of options and usually does them all.

I love the activity tower. I plan on using one when Little Sweets gets older. If I did that right now she would dump everything on the floor and roll around in it. : )
ReplyDeleteI pity his kindergarten teacher - she will have her hands full keeping him challenged!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a great job, Sarah. Have you considered home schooling?
