Vv is for...

Believe it or not, "V" wasn't as hard to come up with words and ideas for as I had originally thought it would be.  Since you may be thinking that V is one of the harder letters I'll share our list of words with you:

Violin, Violet, Violent, Van, Vest, Valentine, Vanilla, Volcano, Vacuum, Video, Vegetables, Very, (Grandma) Vicki, Vase, Vet, Visit, Vision, Voice, and Vanish.

We of course did some Do a Dot art.  Letter V (from Confessions of a Homeschooler), Vegetables, Violin, and Valentine.

Mixed colors to make violet which led to mixing watercolor paint colors.  I love it when one activity inspires Sam to do another!

Ready, "The Very Busy Spider" and played the spider web math game.

Sam and Daddy talked about how birds fly in a "V" formation and drew a picture of it.  Have you ever heard the "The Barenaked Ladies" song called, "Here Come The Geese"?  I love their kids CD!

Sam, Mommy, and Daddy constructed a volcano out of play dough and a dixi cup and then again out of a party favor bubble container (We had Sam predict which one would spit out more lava.).  While I was gathering supplies Sam and Daddy read, "National Geographic Kids: Volcanos" and "Our World: Volcanos".  Oh and in case you never did this as a kid, it's just baking soda and vinegar to make the lava!

And to top of the week we ate vanilla pudding for a snack!
