More "Neighbors"

Did you see my previous post about wanting to make a neighborhood quilt?  Well, here are some more houses I have made in the past few days:

This one is my favorite :)

A few of the ladies in my virtual quilting bee are going to swap house blocks so that we can all make our own neighborhood quilts.  See what I mean about these quilts and community going together?  If you are interested in swapping blocks let me know.

I'm sharing this over and Sew and Tell.

Neighborhood Quilts

So, if you are in the virtual quilting world you are bound to see neighborhood quilts. Like these:

I absolutely adore them and want one of my very own.  You should spend a few minutes doing a flickr search for "Neighborhood Quilts" and you are bound to want one too!   It may sound weird but I feel like they represent so much about how I feel about community.  If/When I make my own I'll be sure to write a whole post about that.

Tonight, I was playing around and made my first little wonky house.  I like the house but I'm unsure of the weird flower tree thing.  I don't like the white space below the house.  It's 8in square in case you were wondering.  We are our own worst critics aren't we?  I think I'm going to cut the house out and scrap the rest.

Have you made a wonky house?  Do you know any good tips on how to make them?  Have a tutorial you love?  Wanna swap wonky houses?
