Easter Fun

Saturday morning, we hosted our 2nd Annual Easter Egg hunt for our friends that have little ones.  I hid 100+ eggs in the backyard that were full of fun prizes like bubbles, shaped erasers, party favor maze watches, yo-yo's, stickers, and just a bit of candy.  The kids ate Annies bunny crackers and juice boxes for a snack, colored eggs that I cut out of card stock and played with the parachute.  I love this age and how simple it is to throw together a fun party!

Sunday, we had Easter baskets here for the boys in the morning.  Apparently we haven't stressed the whole Easter Bunny thing much because half way through his basket Sam stopped and said, "Who gave me all this stuff?"

After church, we headed to Mike's parents house for lunch and another egg hunt.  Sam had fun "driving" his brother and cousins around on the golf cart.

More than meets the eye...

There is more than meets the eye in this picture.
1. Sam asked for paper and crayons to color at his picnic table.
2. He is bringing his trusty Sigg water bottle with him everywhere.
3. He is using a rock to hold down his paper.
4. In the box of 96 crayola crayons he likes "sheen green" and the other metallics the best.
5. There are linens on the line to dry,
6. which means that it is sunny out with a slight breeze.
7. The quilt that is hanging to dry was made by me for Sam's third birthday.
8. Notice the slide by the clothes line. Sam stood on it to help me attach the clothes pins.
9. Sam and I have been sitting in the hammock lately talking about what the clouds look like.
10. Remember the crayons and paper... Sam drew/wrote this!!!!

Aah, what a good afternoon with my sweet 3 year old!
