Today I made him these 10 elephants out of fabric and quilt batting scraps. How convenient that there are 10! They will be great for counting too. (They were very quick and easy to make: batting in between fabric, zig zag stitch and then cut out.)
We also made up a game where the boys put the elephants in to their houses (envelopes) by matching colors. Once Ray gets good at this I plan to hide the elephants to add some extra fun.

Rays asks me to draw elephants at least 100 times a day. Sometimes he likes to color them.
