...for that I am thankful.

Today Ray had his one year check up at the CranioFacial Clinic at the Children's Hospital here in Cbus (this was a follow up appointment for his lip surgery that he had back in September). Today we saw an ENT, speech path, nurse practitioner, dentist, and plastic surgeon all of whom think Ray is doing great (although he did have to get a bunch of wax removed from his ear and he does have his first ear infection). We don't have to go back until next June.

We've all come a long way this year and for that I am thankful. Even though we've only been to the clinic a few times, being in there always puts things in perspective for me (even if the 2 hour appointment at nap time is a beast!). We are so blessed to have two healthy little boys!

I'll leave you with some pictures to put it in perspective...

Ray at one month at our first annual ice cream social (I sent out the evite for this years social tonight). He's pictured with the winners of the craziest spoon contest.
Just before surgery.
Just after surgery.

And then here he is on his birthday enjoying his dinner; check out those lips!

  4. Ray is just a hell of a guy. He managed to forge his own personality in a house with three goofy folks. He is definitely his own man... and a mama's boy:)
