In case you didn't already know, I am a spoiled brat (I'll be the first to admit it).
Saturday night we all went to Target to buy my Mother's Day gift (yes, I was in on the process). I came home with a lime green ipod nano, arm band for running, Nike+ chip, and a chip holder for my shoe. We also went to Chick Fila for dinner. If you have never had their chicken nuggets then you really should!
Sunday morning I went for a "run" with my new gear. I did another 5K but ended up doing a lot of walking. I will blame this on: high pollen count, people mowing lawns, morning, and muscle cramps.
Another Mother's Day gift came to keep a tradition going. Last year I received BNL's Snack Time! (kid cd) so, this year we downloaded They Might Be Giants Here Come the ABC's (another kid cd). These are good to break up the traditional kiddo music.
We rounded out the day with a family cookout. Mike's parents and brother came over along with my Mom and Michael. I cooked chicken on the grill (I volunteered to cook since Mike hasn't quite mastered grill cooking) and made shortcake with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. Mike's Mom brought baked beans and broccoli salad.
And I didn't take a single picture...
No pictures... what kind of blogger are you?!:o) Sounds like a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet of you to word my grill mishaps as such. I either turn meat into jerky, or we eat it extremely rare..
