Thursday afternoon we left Columbus and got in to Chicago in the mid evening. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites on Ontario. I think Mike was a bit tired and possibly a little stressed after beating a bad storm and the GPS's craziness due to interference from the skyscrapers. I on the the hand had napped in the car and already had it in my head that we were going out. I did a little research to find a Jazz club near our hotel and found Andy's Jazz club on Hubbard which was about 6 blocks or so away.
The atmosphere was nice. Mike enjoyed a Blue Moon and I an Amaretto Sour (a good one!). We ordered a bruschetta which was really amazing. The music on the other hand was just okay. Mike described it well when he said it was white and a little dorky. It was lacking in the get down to your soul level department. If you like jazz hopefully you will understand what I mean by that.

The vibe.
I can just taste that top picture. Dorky or not, I loved that evening, love. Thanks for dragging me out past the shady Michael Jackson robot impersonator and down the shady steps that led under the shady bridge to this fun little club.
ReplyDeleteThat blue moon photo is very jazzy!
