I always say that I need to write down the quirky/goofy things that the boys do and say so, I'm going to try and post weekly installments of "Quirky Kids". Sam is 3 and Ray is almost 18months. Here it goes:
* This evening, in the car, Sam said, "Oh, are we going to Aunt Raeann's house?" It was completely out of the blue especially since when he is thinking about Aunt Raeann's house he is really thinking of her camper. He giggled a little after he said it.
* The other day when I asked Sam what he wanted for lunch he said, "I'll have a number one with a chocolate milk." When I told him we didn't have that he said, "Oh, then I'll have a number two with a waffle."
* Today, Ray knocked down a lamp and the shade came off too. He stood over the lit bulb blowing as hard as he could trying to turn off the light.
* Sam puffed out his stomach and announced, "I have a baby sister in my belly." He has been asking about a baby sister for a few weeks now.
* Every night when Ray goes down for bed he point to the top of his dresser in order to switch to a "fresh" binky. He swaps the binky that is in his mouth for a new one and he's good to go.
* Sam flipped open the Bible at random to 2 Chronicals and said, "Ok, time to read number 2!"
* Today Ray loaded Bo Peep and Emperor Zurg (from Toy Story) on to the Wonder Pets flyboat. It seemed like an interesting combo to me.
* We were making up our own versions of "Elmo's World" the song. The one I made up went, "La la la la, la la la, Sam's world. La la la la, la la la, Sam's world. Sam loves his cars and preschool too, that's Sam's world!" Sam made one up like this, "La la la la, la la la, Mommy's world. La la la la, la la la, Mommy's world. Mommy likes to clean and put stuff in the wash, that's Mommy's world!"
* Tuesday morning, when we pulled out of the garage Sam said, "Uh, Mommy, we need to rake the leaves when Ray and Mia take a nap." So, we did... And today he announced that we need to do it again (and we do).
* Ray and Mike were looking at an animal book. Mike pointed out the panda and Ray was not impressed. When Mike repeated, "panda bear" Ray started growling like a bear.
you better get on that baby sister :)
ReplyDeletehahaha...this is great...Sam is a stickler about the lawn it seems. Zetta has been growling like a bear too lately. Primarily because she is obsessed with her one armed bear named Joey. She is also trying to meow. She loves all the stray cats here.
