I asked Sam what he had for dinner at his grandparents house and he said, “Mommy, Papa truck had some really good cheese. I just ate cheese!” When I asked my mother in law about it she said that Sam had had dinner earlier and then he kept eating slices of Colby cheese (the round kind with the wax around it - yum) while his Papa Truck was trying to make himself a grilled cheese sandwich.
While the boys were away for the night I scrubbed the living room carpets. Before they left all the furniture was moved in to our back room and when they returned it was back in place. Sam asked, “Mommy, did you move all that furniture all by yourself?!” I think he was impressed.
Ray was starting to pull ornaments off the tree. Sam told him to stop and he did. Then, Sam proceeded to explain where a bunch of the ornaments came from and what they mean for about five minutes. “See this one Ray, this is a picture of Baby Sam… This one is from Nunny…”
I always took Woody and Jessie from Toy Story to be likeable characters but Ray is using them to beat up an ornament of the Holy Family…
Sam asked Mike, “Daddy, did you poop at New York City?” The fact that we were at an ice cream parlor and that Sam used the word “at” made this particularly funny. My stomach hurt from laughing.
In the car Sam told me he was getting the play-doh out of his nose and eating it. Only it wasn’t really play-doh…
At dinner Sam said, “Mommy, I’m proud of you!” When I asked why he said, “Because (of) this dinner and you’re pretty.”
Ray has made it his personal mission to get in to the DVD drawer and pull out at least 25 DVD’s every day. Mike is going to rig something so that he can’t get in to the drawer.
I love the quirky kids enstallments...they always make me happy. Love you!
ReplyDeleteYes I read your blogs, no I can't comment from work, but yes, they are awesome! Although I don't get as much from the random sewing project blogs. Probably as much as you get from my "car talk".
