WIP Challenge (Week 6)

Every Tuesday for the past few weeks I have been showing my WIPs (Works in progress).  Here is what I have done this past week:

FINISHED Ray's Birthday quilt!  I decided on some blue on blue polka dots that I had in my stash for the binding.

Finally sewed together all the 5in squares for an "I Spy" quilt.  I plan to add a border or two to finish off the top.

Cut up fabric for the Dresden Plate party (this was not on my original to do list) and sewed one together.

I also wrote a guest post with a craft tutorial for My Four Monkeys that will be posted tomorrow (along with my 300th post)!

Dresden Plate Party

Last week I posted about the Dresden Plate (a quilt block) party that is starting.

I'll be gathering my fabrics this week although I plan to use mostly scraps that I have!

I found this tutorial from Sew Mama Sew and the video one from Missouri Star Quilt Company that are very user friendly.

Why Not?

I've always wanted to learn how to make a Dresden Plate Block.  By always I mean for the past few months...



Anyone else want to learn too?
