Potty Training Books

We are on day 4 of potty training here with Sam. Things are going well! He even ventured to the bank and library yesterday in underwear and the post office the other day too.

Here are some of our favorite potty training books (as seen stacked in the corner in this post).

1. Everyone Poops (and everybody should have this book.) by Taro Gomi
2. The Gas We Pass by Shinto Cho
3. Underwear Do's and Don'ts by Todd Parr*.
4. No More Diapers for Ducky by Bernette Ford and Sam Williams
5. A Potty for Me by Karen Katz

* Todd Parr is awesome. You can get coloring pages and other fun stuff from his books here. One of my college roommate introduced him to me. If you still need to get a gift for me I would like his book, "The Peace Book". :)

Quirky Kids - Week 8

I failed to keep a running list of quirks this week but this video should suffice.

Underwear. Instruments. Singing, "I Am The Walrus". Goofy.

What a Potty Training Bathroom Looks Like

Today my bathroom was crowded with toys and underwear and candy wrappers and toddlers. Sam did amazing and he is very proud of himself as he should be!

Here it is at 9:30pm when the little ones are asleep. Waiting for another day of potty training...

A plush seat and a stash of undies.

Some reading material - No bathroom is complete without it!

"Candy door!" Go potty, get a prize. Tonight I found awesome miniature pez refills ($2 for a large bag of them at Target) that I'm hoping Sam will be excited about since he just got a Buzz Pez dispenser. There are also mini snickers, coins for his new clear piggy bank and Cars stickers.

Here's to another day of spending lots of time in the bathroom!
