There is a contest to name the elephant. I entered the name Stellan. (If you haven't kept up on Stellan click the link and keep praying because he is having surgery on Tuesday.)
We waited in line for about an hour - the boys did surprisingly well with this (thanks to some snacks).
I think it's really interesting to watch animals maternal sides in full swing. The mother elephant was covering the baby with hay (he was asleep) and then piling hay around him so that he was almost out of view from the crowd. He did finally decide to wake up and stand up (for about 10 seconds) then quickly went back to sleep. Even the biggest of babies need their sleep. I posted lots of pics and a video on Facebook (iphoto has a feature where you can send them straight to facebook when you upload them on the computer and it makes it super easy) but here is one for you:
