It was a BAD IDEA to keep forgetting to give my only houseplant some sunlight. I'm sure this hearty little thing will make a come back but it makes me a little nervous for the vegetable garden. I have been watering it at least.
It was a GOOD IDEA to rearrange Ray's bedroom today giving him age appropriate toys (not the Hot Wheels cars that he loves so much because that's all his big brother will play with) on a shelf that he can actually can get to and a little bit of floor space in his tiny little room. He was so proud of his room and kept crawling in there and clapping, singing, and was just generally proud. Maybe it's his awesome pink carpet...
It was a BAD IDEA to shave my legs before running. In an effort to go quickly and not take a shower before and after running I shaved somewhat dryly and have the massive razor burn to prove it. This picture does it no justice. It is so bad that I decided to wear a skirt to the office tonight because I figured no one would be there anyways then, when I got there they had a huge graduation party going on for all the Vision Therapy patients. Everyone was like, "you look so cute?" and I had to tell them the story because I knew they would appreciate it. Why did I have to shave before I ran? I guess they were just that hairy (and yes, I know they are white)!
It was a GOOD IDEA to be patient and wait for the finches to find their feeder. They found it today. I tried to get a picture but scared them away. Or, maybe Mike's sweet ride scared them - he pulled up as I was going out to snap a picture of them.
It was a BAD IDEA to knock down the piece of wood that lead to our attic using two broom sticks. The wood dropped on my right thumb and it was bruised. Why was it so urgent to open the attic up? There was a squirrel stuck up there. It was eating the wood trying to get out.
It was a GOOD IDEA to resurface this ball popping, music playing toy from the depths of Sam's closet. It kept him so busy today! He didn't even want to go outside because he was so busy playing with it. It was a BAD IDEA because after a while it's pretty much the most annoying toy in the world!
You be the judge on this one (good or bad idea) to use "Kick My Black Ass" for my second run of week 5. The title of the mix is "teen pop" and it features artists like: Brittany, Christina, NYSNC, Backstreet Boys, etc. I changed up my route and covered almost 2.5mi (wow that's more than I thought). I think I am pretty on track for 10 minute miles. My next run is 20 minutes of non stop running (no walking breaks). I guess I'll say the mix was a GOOD IDEA -I felt like I was in high school and couldn't help but sing along to some of the songs. (Thanks for the link Blaire!)
It is a GOOD IDEA to go to BG this weekend because I feel like we haven't been up for a fun occasion in a long time! Not to mention the open floor plan will be great for Ray to cruise around with his Mater (yes the tow truck) push toy. Maybe he'll start walking for real - who knows?! I will be doing my 20 minute run there and Mike has an 11miler scheduled. Any suggestions of where to run? Mike was thinking of running the 1/4 mile track 44 times but that just seems like hell to me! And I need a little more room than Cogans Crossing can offer.
my niece has that ball toy and saylor is obsessed with it! the music definitely gets annoying. i have been known to tape kleenex over the sound of toys to somewhat mute them! --kick my black ass sounds great. pop songs like that can be fun to workout to!
ReplyDeleteMagically, all of Zoe's noisy toys went missing or got shipped off to go home with her mother.:o)
ReplyDeleteAs far as places to run in BG, City Park, campus or the pond at BGSU- Brooke and I used to "run" that back in the day. Good luck on your runs! 20 minutes- thats an awesome feat!
