Quirky Kids (and 300th Post Giveaway!)

Me:  No more snack guys, we are going to have dinner in a little bit.
Sam:  Remember, we just had dinner - play dough dinner?!

Ray was flipping through a coloring book, saw a palm tree and said, "Look flamingo tree, Mommy!  Flamingo Tree!"

Sam was super excited to go to his first car show with Daddy!

Sam had his last day of preschool on Thursday.  When I asked all the kiddos to get together for a photo, Ray sneaked in too.  I would love to show you the picture and how he is a head shorter than all the other kids and has the biggest grin, but that would take a lot of photo editing to blur all those cute faces that don't belong to me!

We were in the play area at Chic Fila and I couldn't find Sam for a second.  He was up in the tunnel above my head!  Keep in mind this is the kid who doesn't like both feet to be off the ground at the same time and that we bribed with money to climb up in the same tunnel a month or two ago!  He managed to climb all the way up in a matter of seconds!

Sam: "I'm Buzz Lightyear and I always help someone go pee."

Ray turns two this Saturday!  When we ask him, "How old are you?"  we get two different responses.  He either A) counts from two to six or B) identifies the person that asked the question.  Every once in a while he will give us a firm, "TWO!" as he holds up 4 or 5 fingers :)

This is my 300th post!  I find it fitting that it falls on a "Quirky Kids" post because I did after all start this blog to remember all the adventures (sometimes quirky) that my kids are going on and taking me on along with them!

Letter Pp Giveaway Winner

Carrie and I actually went to high school together. She graduated the year before me and we were on the yearbook staff together. She was the editor her senior year and then I was the next year. I think our English teacher, "Lew", would be proud of our use of alliteration. Neither of us live in our home town but we only live 20 minutes or so from each other and have failed to get together! We need to do that soon. Perhaps a zoo trip to see the penguins!

I think Carrie will get a lot of use out of a reusable bag since she has 1 year old twins!

I've done several giveaways and its usually just my family that comments (maybe a few others) so, your chances of winning are good with this one. It's just for fun and to politely thank you for perusing my blog. Go ahead and pass along the info to your pals if you would prefer to.

The winner of this luggage tag giveaway is Aimee (who I believe was my first blog follower that I don't know in real life).

Her response to my question (Where do you think I would like to go on my next vacation?) was:

Or maybe The west coast, like Monteray, CA or the oregon coast, just because I really want to go there. Well, since Aimee and Mike, my husband, were the only to that entered (haha) I am happy to send the luggage tag of to her. In fact, I just put it out for the mailman.

Oddly enough, Amy basically pegged Mike's dream vacation (a train trip to the west coast stopping in major cities and then up the Oregon coast to Canada) however, I would LOVE for my next vacation to be a relaxing week on the beach!

Luggage Tags - GIveaway! - Facebook Crafters

In the Spring of '09 (yep, last year) there was a chain type thing going around Facebook. I rarely get involved in these types of things but this one was different. It promised a handmade item by the end of the year to the first five people to leave a comment and in return you had to give away a handmade item to the first 5 to comment on your post. Well, I forgot about it until it came up again a few weeks ago. I just missed getting them in before the new year but they will be in the mail tonight.
