Me: No more snack guys, we are going to have dinner in a little bit.
Sam: Remember, we just had dinner - play dough dinner?!
Ray was flipping through a coloring book, saw a palm tree and said, "Look flamingo tree, Mommy! Flamingo Tree!"
Sam was super excited to go to his first car show with Daddy!
Sam had his last day of preschool on Thursday. When I asked all the kiddos to get together for a photo, Ray sneaked in too. I would love to show you the picture and how he is a head shorter than all the other kids and has the biggest grin, but that would take a lot of photo editing to blur all those cute faces that don't belong to me!
We were in the play area at Chic Fila and I couldn't find Sam for a second. He was up in the tunnel above my head! Keep in mind this is the kid who doesn't like both feet to be off the ground at the same time and that we bribed with money to climb up in the same tunnel a month or two ago! He managed to climb all the way up in a matter of seconds!
Sam: "I'm Buzz Lightyear and I always help someone go pee."
Ray turns two this Saturday! When we ask him, "How old are you?" we get two different responses. He either A) counts from two to six or B) identifies the person that asked the question. Every once in a while he will give us a firm, "TWO!" as he holds up 4 or 5 fingers :)

This is my 300th post! I find it fitting that it falls on a "Quirky Kids" post because I did after all start this blog to remember all the adventures (sometimes quirky) that my kids are going on and taking me on along with them!
To celebrate, I am giving away a set of fabric elephants that you can use to help teach your quirky little one colors or count or whatever creative things you can think of. If you don't have a little one you can line them up in a pretty little row. Check them out here.
To enter, just leave a comment below of something "quirky" that your little one, pet or, even you has done this week. For an extra entry, link up to Quirky Kids (below) with your own blog post and post a second comment saying that you did so (so that random generator can pick the winner). Any links that aren't directly to a Quirky Kids post will be deleted to keep it fair for everyone.
You have until 11:59pm (EST) on Tuesday, May 18th to enter. I'll announce the winner on next weeks Quirky Kids post. If you don't have your email linked to your blog please leave your email in the comment so that I can notify you.
Good luck!
must. have. elephants. Let's see, this past week my younger son fell in love with Thomas and friends and although he is a toddler of few words, he asks for Thomas about 50 times in a day now. Very emphatically. And if I say not right now, he says with even more force, "DO Thomas!"
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to link up for quirky kids for weeks now, but maybe the elephant giveaway will give me the incentive to just do it! Congrats on 300! -Aimee
My 5 year old's review of Disney Nature's Oceans: "Not enough fighting." Me: "What about the shark?" Him: "That's not fighting, that's just eating." jfsarma at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWe would love to win the elephants. My one year old son was pulling my Hirt up to expose my belly and blowing rasberries on it which in turn was making himself crack up and he was smiling a ridiculously cheesy smile so proud of himself
ReplyDeleteso cute!
ReplyDeletemy little guy has started going down the stairs now and the best method to him seems to be head first. I'm trying to teach him to go feet first but no luck yet.

My daighter randomly said yesterday "we have to take a bath in case an egg pops out of our butt" lol. This was a day after we tried explaining chickens and how they lay eggs!

I would LOVE me some elephants......and my quirky would be that my daughter woke up and said "it is froggy outside", which I think was supposed to be foggy!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter told me (while I was sorting the laundry) that her panties are the "tiny ones"(she's 3). Lol. I laughed for about 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteMy quirky thing would be my old cat is getting senile, she wants me to get up at 3 in the morning to feed her. To wake me up she runs her paws across my lips.

Adam picked up a plug adapter (so you can plug a 3 pronger into a 2 prong outlet - we have an old house), looked at it with a confused look, and said, "I dunnooooo?" He's really into labeling nouns right now, but he didn't know what it is! I dunnoooo is his new favorite phrase!
